Big New Album Releases June 23, 2009

Today is a big day for new music with a lot of highly anticipated albums dropping. Pete Yorn’s new record Back and Fourth has caused some buzz thanks in part to his collaboration with members of Beck, Bright Eyes, The Faint, Rilo Kiley, John Cale and Azure Ray. Regina Spektor has a new one called Far, and Dinosaur Jr.’s much anticipated Farm drops today as well.

The record that has me most excited is lo-fi folk rockers Royal City’s new self-titled greatest hits record, which has been released by Asthmatic Kitty. I used to own At Rush Hour the Cars on Vinyl and miss it dearly. I highly recommend Royal City Greatest Hits, particularly on vinyl if you have the equipment.
